Is deadlifting bad for your back? - Absolutely not!! Just like every other exercise, if not performed correctly then yes injury can occur. So perform it correctly instead of lifting with your ego!! You know who you are 👉🏼

What muscles am I training whilst deadlifting? - All of them. Every muscle will be contracting isometrically or isotonically.

Why do some people take their shoes off? - To feel more stable and you will also slightly shorten your ROM (range of motion) thus making it slightly easier.
