Why you should go off weekly calories and not daily calories:


So, you’ve worked out your calories needed for your deficit and you’ve got 2,000Kcal per day. Times that by 7 and you’ve 14,000 for the whole week, amazing!!


The reason weekly is superior is simply because you don’t do the same and eat the same every day of the week. Let’s say you have a birthday party to attend on Saturday evening, you want to be able to enjoy yourself and not restrict to just a salad… so what you do is allow yourself more calories on the Saturday and take some away from the other 6 days. (Saturday 3,000 and then 1,800 every other day - based off 14,000pw)


This also works vice versa, if you know you’ve got a super busy day full with meetings and you will not have much time to sit down and eat, just have a lower calorie day and add them on for the rest of the week. Work your diet around your life, not the other way round!!
