If you have a dog and upon their last check up at the vets you were told they were slightly overweight, how would you go about it? Walk them a little more and feed them a little less. So why should it be too different for us human to lose weight?

You would not give your dog cosmic amount of caffeine in the form of a “slimming coffee”.

You would not starve them for days at a time and call it a “fast”.

You would not be disappointed if your dog had not lost all the weight after just 2 weeks.

Treat yourself how you would treat your dog. There is no super quick fix, magic pills or mystical drinks that do it for you.

Using John as an example, he wants to lose weight. He has created a 450 Kcal deficit from just walking 40 minutes a day (split in x2 20 minutes before and after work) and by consuming 200 Kcals less a day.

Then over the course of a week that is a deficit of 3,150 Kcals, a month is 13,650 Kcals and over a year is 163,800 Kcals. 1lbs of fat is equal to roughly 3,500 kcals so in theory John would have lost just under 47lbs… just from walking a little each day and consuming slightly less.

When people say or think of the word diet they associate it with being super strict and hard to stick to – this really does not have to be the case, make it work for you.

Be more like John.

Stay safe,

Josh.
